Why Should You Attend?

• The ASTA Annual Convention offers you a chance to solidify relationships with contacts old and new and participate in the ASTA process in a variety of committees and division meetings. This special anniversary event in one of the world’s most popular destinations offers something for you and your whole family, fostering closer relationships between attendees.
• General sessions will feature outstanding speakers aimed to bring you relevant and timely information that you can immediately apply back in your work place.
• The audience will include representation from every facet of ASTA membership – the Annual Convention is the only ASTA event in which every standing committee and division conducts meetings.
• Networking opportunities allow you to meet other seed industry professionals – close to 600 in all from many different perspectives of the seed industry
• Special anniversary events will make the convention experience fun for the whole family!

How Can You Get Involved?

• By attending!
• By contributing your photos, mementos, or written memories of your favorite moments in ASTA history
• Exhibit opportunities are offered for the Trading Room, directly adjacent to both conference registration and meeting rooms. Exhibit space sold out the past two years, so be sure to sign up right away when exhibitor registration opens in fall 2007!
• Sponsorship opportunities will be offered starting in Fall 2007 to previous sponsors, and will open up to new sponsors in early 2008. A great way to get your company name recognized in front of your colleagues and customers!

Anniversary Celebration

ASTA has many exciting plans in store for the coming year, which culminates at our 125th Annual Convention in Orlando, Florida, June 21 - 25, 2008. ASTA is borrowing a few ideas from nearby Walt Disney World to create a magical experience. We are looking forward to celebrating with each of you the milestones and influence ASTA has had for you, your business, and the seed industry domestically and abroad. In the coming year, you will see the symbols of our anniversary celebration every step of the way.

Special events at our 125th Annual Convention will include a retrospective video tribute to ASTA, a “Walk Through Time” historical display, an ASTA member flower topiary for your commemorative photo opportunities, a special collector’s anniversary book, and much, much more.

We need your help! In the coming months, ASTA will be collecting your memories, mementos, pictures, artifacts, anything you think should be included in our commemoration of this important anniversary year. To participate in this effort, contact any ASTA staff member. As with all ASTA initiatives, we want the anniversary celebration to be a member-driven effort.
