ASTA’s First Best Poster Awards Contest

For the first time at CSS, ASTA is happy to announce the “Best Poster Awards”. These awards are sponsored by Dow AgroSciences and will be presented to the three best poster presentations at this convention. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place according to the presentation criteria. First place will receive a $300 scholarship, second place a $200 scholarship and third place a $100 scholarship.  Judging will take place on Wednesday, December 7 from 2:30pm-4:30pm in the FuSE lounge on the Seed Expo show floor.  Posters will be displayed in the Riverside Exhibition Hall at the Hyatt Regency Chicago as a part of the Seed Expo from December 6-8, 2011.

Posters will be judged based on criteria such as abstract/conclusions (content, clarity, format and grammar), project development (rationale, hypothesis, objectives, organization, methods and application to appropriate crop/plant science disciplines), and presentation of project results, appearance as well as physical presence and oration. The final results will be tabulated and published in the new “Daily Seed” show newspaper the following morning.
