ASTA is excited to unveil several new program changes for 2007, including new sessions and new changes to the format of the meetings held in the past. First, ASTA is proud to announce the creation of two new standing committees: the ASTA Stewardship Committee and the ASTA Communications Committee. Another new addition is the creation of the State and Regional Associations Workshop, being held on Sunday, February 4, which will provide a comprehensive and interactive forum in which ASTA and State and Regional leaders can discuss how we can best partner together now and in the future.

In response to your valuable feedback, this year’s convention schedule has also been re-designed to consolidate the meeting content into an efficient schedule that allows for more free networking time in your busy schedules. To that end, the meetings of ASTA’s Biotechnology Committee and the Vegetable & Flower Legislative & Regulatory Committee have been rolled into the agenda of the Vegetable & Flower Division meeting on Tuesday, February 6. Likewise, the ASTA Phytosanitary and International Committee meetings will be held jointly, with an agenda that addresses issues related to both. These changes, combined with the largest-ever Trading Room, the focal point of convention networking, will result in a convention experience you won’t want to miss!

Continuing program sessions include the General Session on Monday, February 5 and meetings of the Vegetable & Flower Division, the Intellectual Property Rights Committee, the Organic Committee, the Associates Division, and Future Seed Executives (FuSE).

And DON’T MISS Sunday night’s Super Bowl Party, featuring a broadcast of the game, a sports-bar style menu, all your favorite industry friends, and more surprises to come!

At Halftime, don’t miss the giveaway of two adult admission tickets to Walt Disney World, provided by All-America Selections, and two “Team Packs” provided by Syngenta Seed Care — you must be present to win! Wear your football attire and make sure to come ready for some football!

Each attendee has two drink tickets in your registration materials for this reception, and cash bars will be further provided throughout the game. Don’t miss it!
