This award is for scientist who have mad significant contributions to plant science through basic, applied or developmental research in genetics and plant breeding during their careers in the private sector.

The award consists of a certificate, plaque and $1,000 honorarium.

Eligibility

1. Nominators are not required to be members of CSSA
2. Nominees are expected to be active members of CSSA or are to be affiliated with companies that are members of the National Council of Commercial Plant Breeders
3. Nominees must be living at the time their nominations are submitted.
4. Research teams are not eligible to be nominated for this award.
